Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland
The focus of Ronald McDonald House Charities work is to improve the health and well being of seriously ill children. They carry this out by creating, finding, operating and supporting programs that help seriously ill children and their families while they receive medical treatment, and assist recovering children return to normal life. The cornerstone of RMHC work is providing a ‘home-away-from-home’ for children and their families, currently there are 13 Ronald McDonald Houses in Australia, 3 of these are in Queensland. Capital funding is provided by RMHC, but each House is responsible for its own daily running costs.
STO Property Maintenance Group has supported RMHC over the past 7 years; we believe it is important to contribute to this charity in order to help RMHC succeed in helping these children and their families. In February 2010 together with RMHC and numerous sponsors STO Property Maintenance Group held a successful Golf Day at the Tallai Golf Club on the Gold Coast; much needed funds were raised for Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland through this day.
